Some of the most celebrated Italian photographers, and many young Italian and foreign photographers have donated work for FotografiSenzaFrontiere - onlus (Photographers Without Borders – a Non-Profit Organization), the independent organization created in 1997 which creates permanent photographic laboratories in marginalized and conflict areas around the world.
Through teaching photography, children and young adults can have the opportunity to learn the basics of a new profession and access an effective and competitive means of self-representation of their own reality, as well as relieve the sense of powerlessness that often breeds in precariousness. All the proceeds of the auction will go to FotografiSenzaFrontiere – onlus to create a permanent photographic laboratory in the area of the Kuna population, in the archipelago of Kunayala (Panama), and to organize initiatives at the already active laboratories in Nicaragua, Palestine, Saharawi and Uganda.
